EFNEP Nutrition Assistant, Wildcat District Other On-site requirement
The Extension Nutrition Program, within K-State Research and Extension, is currently seeking two full-time Extension Nutrition Assistants. The extension nutrition assistant will provide nutrition education to low-resourced families with young children and youth to support the goals of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). This position provides nutrition education to enrolled families and youth and tailors the content to the needs of each client. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively recruit and retain program participants and develop collaborative partnerships with community agencies. Both EFNEP nutrition assistants will serve the Wildcat Extension District and be based in Altamont, Kansas.
Animal Technician Supervisor Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
This position will function as the assistant manager of the Dairy Teaching and Research Center and is responsible for ensuring the safety of the cows and other diary unit employees.The incumbent will assume responsibility for operation of the dairy unit in the manager's absence. Incumbent is responsible for milking cows at least two days each week and for making vital animal observations during the milking process. Supervises and trains student assistants in proper milking procedures and other general dairy farm duties. This person will offer assistance when required in performing daily routines. Practices and teaches safety precautions at all times. Maintains and administers a continuing education program for all employees involved in animal care and equipment maintenance.

Diagnostic Technician I-Necropsy Manhattan, Kansas On-site requirement
This position within KSVDL exists to serve the needs of clientele/stakeholders (clients, faculty, residents, students, coworkers) in regards to necropsy and sample reception, and assistance with all activities on the necropsy floor. This position will oversee and manage all necropsy floor activities including scheduling for teaching and research, disinfection, adherence to biosafety procedures and protocols in accordance with the KSVDL quality system, management of student workers, maintenance of equipment, record keeping related to the above activities, and maintenance and oversite of the KSVDL bulk autoclave and tissue digester. This position will also serve as an assistant to pathologists in necropsy procedures and sample collection from other samples (i.e. rabies testing, BSE testing, CWD testing).
