| The Extension Nutrition Program, within K-State Research and Extension, is currently seeking a full-time Nutrition Educator. The Nutrition Educator serves to meet the Kansas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) mission of empowering limited-resource Kansans using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities. Specific strategies include direct education in various settings; community-based projects to address policy, system or environmental changes; and public health approaches to help children, families and adults improve dietary quality and food resource management skills and increase physical activity. This position will serve northeastern Kansas and be based in Marysville, KS. |

| The full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate will be an integral part of the Northwest Agronomy team at the Kansas State University Northwest Research-Extension Center, Colby, Kansas. This individual will have leadership responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of multiple research projects that are focused on improving nitrogen use efficiency in dryland cropping systems and reducing nitrogen losses to N2O greenhouse gas emissions and NH3 volatilization. These projects are part of a DOE supported SmartFarm project and a FFAR AgMission project. This individual will take a lead role in the analysis and publication of data resulting from the many aspects of these projects while also being involved in field operations.
In addition, the individual will have the opportunity to become involved with a diverse set of projects that include corn, sorghum, wheat, dry beans/pulses, cotton, and other crops in the context of dryland and limited irrigation production systems. Opportunities for involvement could include field operations and data collection, data processing and analysis, publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts, and grant submissions. |

| K-State Olathe is hiring a Fellow Post Doc to help design and engineer a novel deep learning technology that will use visual, audio, and other sensory data to track the behaviors of pigs in a pen continuously and in test arenas that are used to measure cognition and dominance. In light of this technology, the Fellow Post Doc will be requested to perform a comparative analysis from at an adaptive resolution rate based on multiple cameras installed in the pens and arenas designed by Dr. Hulbert for the Sorghum Project. Sorghum fermented products and genome data will be used to mitigate stress, inflammatory, and behavioral responses in adult pigs using computer vision system that must have restricted feed intake to maintain a healthy body weight or reduce weight after becoming overweight. This position is full-time, exempt (salaried), term position. |

| This position will function as the assistant manager of the Dairy Teaching and Research Center and is responsible for ensuring the safety of the cows and other diary unit employees.The incumbent will assume responsibility for operation of the dairy unit in the manager's absence. Incumbent is responsible for milking cows at least two days each week and for making vital animal observations during the milking process. Supervises and trains student assistants in proper milking procedures and other general dairy farm duties. This person will offer assistance when required in performing daily routines. Practices and teaches safety precautions at all times. Maintains and administers a continuing education program for all employees involved in animal care and equipment maintenance. |
