The Veterinary Health Center within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Large Animal Cleaning Technician. This position is responsible for providing normal operational activities associated with cleanliness and upkeep for the large animal area of the Veterinary Health Center. He/she will ensure animal stalls, animal holding pens and other areas that house large animals are kept clean and orderly. Other duties associated with monitoring/maintaining the physical and environmental conditions of the large animal section.
Academic Services Coordinator Salina, Kansas, Manhattan, Kansas
The Office of Student Success is currently seeking a full-time Academic Services Coordinator for the TRIO Upward Bound. The Academic Services Coordinator reports to the Director of TRIO Upward Bound. The TRIO Upward Bound program is part of the Office of Student Success and located on the Salina campus in Salina, KS. The Academic Services Coordinator works closely with the Director in recruiting students for the program. The Academic Services Coordinator will complete assessments, academic planning, and monitor the academic progress of high school participants in the Upward Bound program. The Academic Services Coordinator will travel weekly to four target area high schools to complete advising sessions and maintain complete, accurate audit ready documentation of all services, and confidential participants’ records. The Academic Services Coordinator will also develop evening and/or Saturday activities for the participants in the program and coordinate and monitor summer program core curriculum, summer staff (i.e. faculty, instructors, graduate students, mentors), and student mentor opportunities.

The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University seeks applications for a 12-month, tenure-track or tenured Associate Professor/ Full Professor Faculty position with a primary emphasis in basic, mechanistic research on emerging and/or zoonotic bacterial or viral pathogens. This position will also serve as the Associate Director of an NIH COBRE Center (Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases; https://www.k-state.edu/cezid). The expected start date for this position is as early as January 2023. The successful applicant must have extensive experience leading a productive research program as demonstrated by: (i) longstanding support from NIAID, NIGMS or similar funding programs; (ii) a robust record of training graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty; and (iii) high-impact peer-reviewed publications. Preference will be given to applicants that utilize animal models in their research and that focus on emerging and/or zoonotic infectious diseases. The distribution of effort for this position is approximately 60-70 % research, 10-20% administration, 5-10 % graduate teaching, and 5-10 % non-directed service. Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications Manhattan, Kansas
The Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications will be responsible for strategic development and execution of marketing and communication to support the university's undergraduate enrollment and recruitment goals. The position will primarily support The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) at Kansas State University. OEM is comprised of the offices of financial assistance, registrar, and undergraduate recruitment and admissions, together with central administrative resources that support data analytics, budget, human resources, and technology. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the Director leads and oversees a comprehensive marketing program encompassing the targeted outreach of all the functional units of OEM in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Communications and Marketing and with academic units. The Director will lead a team of marketing and communications professionals who operate in a fast-paced environment that delivers a high quantity and wide assortment of outreach and engagement efforts including print collateral, direct mail, emails, etc. They are the primary contact with our University Department of Marketing and Communications to assist with the coordination of any advertising, web, and social media efforts. As a member of the OEM leadership team, the director provides strategic communication direction to the VP and other senior leaders and assistance with internal and external communications for the unit.

The Cottonwood Extension District is comprised of Barton and Ellis Counties. The district has a combined population of 54,332. This part of the state is noted for its oil production, as well as manufacturing and diversified farming and livestock operations. The district is home to Fort Hays State University and Barton Community College. District-wide, the 4-H Youth Development program involves 300 community club members in 18 clubs and 3,500 youth in nontraditional programs. Seven agents and several support staff serve the district. This position will provide leadership to the 4-H Youth Development program in the Hays office. Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Agents are jointly responsible to the director of K-State Research and Extension (represented by a designated administrator) and the local extension board. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local community members and extension colleagues. The primary focus of this position is youth development; along with adult volunteer development; youth education program development; community partnership expansion; and membership growth and participation. Programming will include but is not limited to: community club support, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
