About This Role:

The Division of Facilities is hiring for a Supply Specialist. The Supply Specialist manages the dispersal of outgoing items leaving the Storeroom. Creates mission-critical signage for Kansas State University. Perform procurement tasks, customer service, inventory control, office support, and freight receiving.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer considerable knowledge of materials and supplies used in signage building construction/maintenance trades and computerized purchase order and inventory software program
  • Prefer ability to make mathematical calculations, communicate effectively with a varied clientele, research and prepare accurate reports, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in graphic arts using a computerized program (i.e. CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator). Prefer experience in a building maintenance setting

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Valid driver’s license upon employment.
  • Subject to on-call, standby and inclement weather response.  This position is considered essential.
  • Responsible to know, understand, and follow safety guidelines in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, to include K-State and Facilities policies and procedures.  Responsible to comply with the safe work practices identified in the departmental Job Hazard Analysis, Personal Protective Equipment Assessment and Departmental Safety Orientation Acknowledgment form.
  • Responsible for the implementation of safety regulations, guidelines, and work practices to prevent injury to yourself and others.
