About This Role:

The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our clientele. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to learn the Health Center’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills.

This position’s hours are 12 pm – 5 pm Monday through Friday. This benefits eligible position includes, vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, optional health insurance and a retirement plan. All massage therapy supplies are provided. There is opportunity for some continuing education. Clientele will consist primarily of K-State students as well as some K-State faculty and staff.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Current certification in the State of Kansas
  • Current City of Manhattan license
  • Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) or association compliance with National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body work (NCBTMB)
