About This Role:

The Supply Specialist will be responsible to unload trucks, UPS, Land Air, and other types of freight-hauling companies. Inspect material and equipment to assure it is undamaged, usable, and correct, and that it conforms to the specifications required on Purchase Orders.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to storage, notification, of inventory materials and equipment to the Facilities department and other KSU departments requiring us to unload their freight.

This position is subject to inclement weather response. This position is considered essential. Responsible to know, understand, and follow safety guidelines in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, to include K-State and Facilities policies and procedures. Responsible for the implementation of safety regulations, guidelines, and work practices to prevent injury to yourself and others. Moderate transporting demands up to 50 pounds.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of relevant experience in storekeeping, including receiving, inspecting, cataloging and storing goods.
  • Maintaining inventory records.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, custodial, lumber, paint, HVAC, hardware, and automotive, etc., is essential in this task.
