About This Role:

The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Fellow (Post Doc) to take on an interesting multi-disciplinary project aimed at integrating physiological, molecular and biochemical advances in identifying mechanisms and traits that lead to enhanced heat tolerance in wheat and other field crops. The successful candidate will collaborate with other members of the crop ecophysiology lab and operate across scales ie growth chambers, field-based facilities such as rain-out shelters, heat tents and other field experiments.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Plant Physiology

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience using plant physiological instruments such as LICOR 6400.
  • Molecular analysis experience (qRTPCR, RNAseq, Metabolomics)
  • Biochemical aspects experience (enzymes and hormonal analysis)
  • Above preferred requirements demontrated through first author publications

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$47,476 - $60,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
