About This Role:

The Kansas State CMS group (Ivanov, Kaadze, Maravin) has involvement in operations and Phase I and Phase II upgrades of the forward pixel, hadron calorimeter, and MIP timing detector (MTD) of the CMS as well as in measurements of the SM Higgs boson and a wide range of new phenomena searches. A new postdoc will be expected to play a leading role in the Higgs measurements using Run2 and Run3 data from CMS and to work on the MTD Phase II upgrade.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The group is looking for an outstanding applicant who has obtained, or is about to obtain, a Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have strong data analysis skills, and preferably have experience in hardware.
