About This Role:

The College of Business is hiring a Director of Communications and Marketing to join their team! The purpose of the Director of Communications and Marketing is to advance the college marketing strategy for effective student recruitment, alumni relations and College of Business stakeholders through collaboration with executive leadership. Responsibilities of this role include:

Design, implement, and monitor college-wide communications and marketing plan:

  • Establish, in cooperation with College leadership, a multifaceted communications and marketing strategy for effective student recruitment, robust alumni relations, and exposure in the business community.
  • Provide creative direction and determine effective medium(s) to deliver college-level communications.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of the communication plan using appropriate metrics. Adjust the communication and marketing plan based on metrics.
  • Manage the marketing budget and responsible for reporting to stakeholders regarding the return on investment of budget.

Administer day-to-day college communications and marketing operations:

  • Manage the work of CBA communications staff and marketing interns.
  • Contribute to the marketing goals and strategies through content creation and production in areas of the incumbent’s specific expertise (i.e. print, video, social media, etc.).

Work collaboratively with college and university partners: 

  • Collaborate with partners within the college, ensuring a consistent and unified College brand and image. Monitor and coordinate communication and marketing activities of all College departments and units for consistent messaging and effectiveness.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders on communications related to specific events, programs and initiatives to ensure success. 
  • Collaborate and coordinate with university communications and marketing leadership to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and strategy.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least five years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing marketing campaigns integrating social media

  • Familiarity with marketing strategies for prospective college student audiences

  • Expertise in a content creation area relevant to the college (i.e. video production, writing for business and media, web publishing, or graphic design)

  • Demonstrate ability to motivate coordination between multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goal

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$65,000 - 85,000 annually
