About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE SERVICES, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

  • Create content for web and social media channels following established brand and graphical standards and style guidelines
  • Serve as the graphic design lead for establishing a standard of excellence in recruiting materials for assigned team(s) while developing graphic and multimedia elements across digital channels
  • Capture photos and videos of behind-the-scenes content, live game action and the game day experience as needed
  • Other duties include assignments relating to storytelling, brand building, and fan engagement through K-State’s digital platforms

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field by May 2021
  • Two to four years of professional experience
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Must have a strong design portfolio that highlights your experience with layout, typography, motion, and visual hierarchy
  • Must be current with graphic trends and techniques in the sports industry and recruiting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the social media landscape and experience creating design solutions across multiple platforms
  • Experience shooting and editing photos and video
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference recruiting rules and regulations

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment 
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be organized and able to prioritize and manage many projects at any given time

  $ 35,600 annual salary
