The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a Fellow (Post Doc) to manage field and laboratory work for our multidisciplinary Precision Agriculture research program.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in agronomy or related field
- Must be able to operate, adjust and maintain equipment used by the project. Equipment includes GPS units and associated electronic accessories & computers, and sensors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in agronomy, soils, environmental science, biosystems engineering, spatial statistics, computer information systems, Geo-spatial sciences
- Excellent computer, and data analytical skills, including spatial statistics
- Strong competency in performing statistical and geo-statistical spatial analysis, summarizing data and writing reports
- Competency with databases, spreadsheets, presentation, word processing, R, Python, ARC-GIS or similar GIS platforms and other similar GPS/GIS mapping packages
- Experience working with soil moisture sensors and remote telemetry data access
- Demonstrated written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated interest and/or ability in delivering outreach programs, and lecture in classroom
- Must be willing to occasionally travel overnight

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
|
$47,476 - $60,000 annual salary
