About This Role:

The Jardine Occupancy Coordinator position coordinates occupancy for approximately 1,000 students in the on-campus Jardine Apartments which include five different apartment styles and multiple agreement options.  This individual is part of a team who demonstrates exceptional customer care and offers the opportunity for daily interactions with students and/or parents.

Duties include:

  • Coordinate apartment assignment, renewal, transfer and intent to vacate processes.
  • Maintain and update occupancy and turnover data; prepare routine and ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Interact with and assist residents with financial arrangements and related questions.
  • Communicate by phone, email and in person with current and potential residents and parents.
  • Create written communications regarding processes or upcoming events.
  • Coordinate with departmental IT staff regarding all electronic processes managed through the Resident Portal.
  • Serve as a member of the departmental committee to implement the apartment selection and agreement process.
  • Perform general office support tasks as requested.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of college courses
  • Experience in a customer service environment and strong commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Experience living or working in a college or university apartment or residence hall environment
  • Strong computer skills to include demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office environment, specifically Excel, and merging databases
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to represent the department and university in a professional manner
  • Experience with assignments and occupancy management
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of cash reconciliation and basic accounting
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures
  • High level of attention to detail

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$13.70 - $15.50 per hour
