About This Role:

The department of Anatomy and Physiology is looking for a temporary part-time Research Technician. This temporary part-time research position will perform a variety of routine, but necessary, science support tasks. Incumbent will help with gel electrophoresis, zeta potential, absorbance and other routine spectroscopic or microtiter plate reader routine laboratory techniques and methods we use in the lab.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the lab, its inventory, assist with ordering and other administrative functions.
  • Work with the post-doc and senior students to ensure safety procedure and update standard operating procedures and other manuals and guidance in the lab.
  • Present at group meeting and assist in the preparation and submission of manuscripts and grants
  • Assist the post-doc and students with their experiments, analysis, presentations, method development and write up.
  • Perform routine biochemical and molecular biology assays (gel electrophoresis, UV spectra, etc.).

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enzyme and microtiter assays, data and statistical analysis
  • Advanced degree in pharmaceutical and/or biomedical science/

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
