About This Role:

The UFM Community Learning Center program coordinator facilitates the coordination and delivery of university recreational and fitness credit courses for the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Sciences and Health and Human Services. This position also serves as the K-State Global Campus /UFM coordinator for programming focusing on classes that target area participants age 55 and over.

This position is expected to work with departmental faculty to develop, coordinate and maintain courses and programs that enhance experiential learning opportunities for K-State students and that enhance the mission of the colleges and departments. The incumbent works with entities across campus and in the community for the coordination of assigned programs.

Work location: UFM Community Learning Center, 1221 Thurston Street, Manhattan, Kan. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Details of an individual’s remote work arrangement will be finalized with selected candidates directly as part of the hiring process.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Work experience in higher education or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in program development
  • Experience writing performance objectives with measurable outcomes
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Background in higher education and/or teaching with technology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse groups
  • Proven record of organizational and administrative skills including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Understanding of technology as it relates to delivering course information to students
  • Computer skills including use of Microsoft Office, use of databases and electronic communication applications
  • Familiarity with KSIS and Canvas or similar learning management and student information systems
  • Knowledge of the Manhattan community

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$40,576 - 55,000/year
