About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

  • Manage large portfolio of major gift and annual fund prospects with the expectation to make 200+ personal visits annually. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Must be able to travel as required. Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
  • Identify, manage, cultivate, and solicit new and current prospects for major gifts and annual leadership gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics. Frequent travel within the state of Kansas, bordering states and potential national travel to cultivate and solicit gifts.
  • Assist in management of the athletics endowment and planned giving programs.
  • Work home and some away K-State Athletic sporting events and donor events.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree at time of application
  • Three years of experience in college athletics fundraising or sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in college athletics fundraising or sales
  • Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors/clients
  • Experience fundraising in NCAA Division I athletics
  • Former college student-athlete

Other Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Must be able to travel as required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license at all times

Salary Rate / Pay Rate:

 $50,000 TO $60,000
