About This Role:

A vital member of the team, the Office of Recruitment and Admissions (ORA) is seeking an Office Specialist III to provide administrative support that will allow our high-performance team to meet the university’s enrollment goals. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the Executive Director’s primary administrative assistant by managing calendars, arranging meetings, drafting communications, and providing high quality customer service to important stakeholders.
  • Directly interact with prospective students and their families by answering inquiries via phone, email and in-person as well as assist in efforts that support the office’s core responsibility of delivering a stellar campus visit experience.
  • Support team members in the office by overseeing various projects such as managing inventory, ordering supplies, distributing mail, shipping materials, as well as organizing registrations and payments related to recruitment efforts.
  • Gain proficiency in utilizing the department’s technology such as Customer Relationship Manager, Student Information System, and Microsoft Office.

 

A successful Office Specialist III will have a passion for working with people from diverse backgrounds, thrive while working in a fast-paced environment, and possesses skills in multitasking, being detail-orientated, and maintaining confidentiality.

To encourage work-life balance, this position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule and is eligible for flexible hours beyond the traditional 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. shift.

This position will be housed in the Berney Family Welcome Center – an $18 million dollar University facility. It is the premier location for prospective students, families, current students, employers, donors, alumni, and community members.

What You will Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work.
  • Experience in higher education specific to recruitment, admissions, enrollment management or student affairs.
  • Social and communication skills and the ability to engage with others of diverse backgrounds. 
  • A high level of computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, efficient use of email, etc. 
  • Bachelor's degree.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$15.73 – $16.30 per hour
