About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH FOR FOOTBALL, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for assisting with researching, designing, implementing and monitoring the strength and conditioning program for football, which includes program design and implementation involving advanced training of student-athletes regarding performance enhancing strength and conditioning workouts.
  • Carry out assigned responsibilities as instructed by Director of Strength and Conditioning for Football and as outlined in the strength and conditioning policies and procedures manual.
  • Communicate with sports medicine staff regarding student-athlete injuries and modifications made to workouts for each injured/rehabilitating student-athlete in his/her assigned sport.
  • Responsible for assisting in the appearance, maintenance and organization of equipment in the weight facility, as well as the education and enforcement of weight room rules.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree at time of application
  • Strength and conditioning experience with a professional sport team or college football program
  • Experience successfully working with collegiate student-athletes from diverse ethnic, cultural and/or socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate well with program staff members, sport coaches and student-athletes
  • Current NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strength and conditioning experience in NCAA Division I athletics

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Salary Rate / Pay Rate:

 $49,000 to $54,900
