About This Role:

As a key member of the marketing team, this position reports directly to the division’s associate vice president for communications and marketing to coordinate universitywide media placements and initiatives.

The digital media planner will be able to fulfill the following expectations.

  • Research, develop, implement and manage digital media campaigns that elevate Kansas State University’s profile and reach to future students — undergraduate and graduate, domestic and international.
  • Exhibit a high level of organization, analytics knowledge and vendor management skills.
  • Achieve the primary goal of generating interest in Kansas State University while managing acquisition costs. Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and determine return on investment.
  • Think strategically and skillfully solve problems by responding to issues and opportunities quickly and effectively while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Optimize coordination across a highly complex, decentralized organization that includes three physical campuses, K-State Online offerings, and multiple academic and non-academic departments.

*This position is eligible for a hybrid and/or remote work arrangement.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Three or more years of relevant experience.
    (An educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager may be used.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising or relevant field. 
  • Three or more years of paid media management or media buying experience.
  • Experience with media buying software.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
