About This Role:

NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising based at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS is seeking applicants for a Senior Computer/Systems Specialist.  This position provides and sustains optimal IT support for the NACADA Executive Office users and business continuity, providing consistent quality network services to staff. Designs, implements, configures, and maintains Executive Office network servers (file, database and web servers); manages Executive Office databases; performs computer asset management for office staff (on site and remote) and several off-site events. Manages equipment inventory and software licenses. Performs essential functions including listserv management and maintenance, webcast support and production. Responsible for Executive Office data security, including design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery of data in various locations. Supports administrative team and in investigating and implementing major technology initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma and three to five years of relevant experience, including server maintenance; ability to identify and correct issues to minimize losses associated with loss of data integrity or data availability; desktop hardware and software support; ability to learn software programs utilized by staff and assist with troubleshooting and management related to use.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, MIS; five to 10 years of relevant experience in a lead/senior support/technical administration role, including server and CMS (content management system) maintenance, hardware and software support, data security, and current and advancing knowledge of new technologies, systems and applications.

$51,500 - $82,358
