About This Role:

The Recruitment Representative is part of a dynamic team in the Student Success Center for the College of Business. This position will be responsible for assisting in managing on-campus visits and events (in-person and virtual) of prospective students for the college. This includes meeting with prospective students and their family/guests, developing and coordinating visits with representatives from all business programs, creating new and innovative experiences for prospective students, and coordinating college efforts with the Kansas State University Office of Recruitment and Admissions (ORA). This position serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students for the College of Business and represents the college at on-and select off-campus recruiting events.

Included as part of this position is taking the lead on developing programs and initiatives that are related to recruitment, such as summer camps, conferences for educators, and strengthening partnerships with business-related high school and community college student organizations. In addition, the recruitment coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for transfer and non-traditional students and high school and community college educators. The recruitment coordinator will also lead efforts in recruiting diverse and underrepresented students.

This position will also require strong data skills to create reports internally and for college leadership, complete data analytics for various processes and analyze strategy to help make data-driven decisions and increase the number of enrolled students. 

The recruitment representative will also play an important role in leading, developing, and implementing an effective recruitment strategy for all prospective and admitted students in the College of Business. In addition, they will assist in developing and maintaining literature, websites, social media, mailings, and other marketing materials for the college.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the college recruiting process including new student communications and programming
  • Experience working with high school and community colleges instructors and advisors
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong attention to details
  • Ability to work independently as well as within groups 
  • Proficiency in Office software, especially Excel
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently
  • Working knowledge of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
  • Experience and comfortability speaking in front of large groups
  • Commitment to understanding one's own experiences and perspectives as well as the experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and collaboration

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, as needed, for programs and activities
  • Valid driver’s license upon employment is required

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$42,000 - $47,000 ($20.19 - $22.60 hourly)
