About This Role:

The Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO) team, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is looking to hire a Project Associate who will provide specialized administrative work on a grant-funded statewide professional development project in the area of childcare and education, focusing on individuals and programs serving birth to 13 years. This position will be responsible for managing general office functions and providing administrative support for KCCTO’s professional development initiatives and offerings.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and monitor emails
  • Schedule meetings and provide logistical support
  • Assist with various course processes, which may include processing requests for transfers, transcripts, and certificates
  • Assist with course registration, enrollments, and completions as needed
  • Process and review applications for financial incentives, CDA training track, and/or trainers
  • Perform data entry
  • Track and report the use of funds related to financial incentives, material/resource ordering, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with KCCTO partners
  • Direct work of student office assistant/s

The College of Health and Human Sciences is home to six academic departments (Applied Human Sciences; Food, Nutrition, Dietetics & Health; Hospitality Management; Interior Design & Fashion Studies; Personal Financial Planning; and Kinesiology), the Center on Aging, and the Physician Assistant program. In addition, the college received approval from the Kansas Board of Regents to serve as a satellite location for the WSU nursing program. What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
  • Two years of experience working in an office setting that requires professionalism, teamwork, and confidentiality
  • Two years of experience managing multiple tasks or projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Three years of experience working in a non-profit, multi-project, or technology-based program
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Basic knowledge of early childhood and the childcare system, along with available resources
  • Familiarity or experience with childcare programs and the children and families they serve

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$17.34 - $20.19 per hour
