About This Role:
|
Direct, manage, and monitor day-to-day accounting activities within the Administrative Support Center Facilities support team. This includes monitoring and reconciliation of more than 85 departmental accounts and coordinating payment and deposit activity associated with these accounts. Responsible for accounting oversight and reporting associated with capital construction contracts, including the monitoring and reconciliation of more than 90 construction accounts. This position works closely with Facilities Campus Planning, the Division of Financial Services, and Departments to properly track, allocate, and report expenditures associated with the construction projects. Develop and provide ongoing reports for the Vice President of Administration and Finance, Associate Vice President of Facilities, the Division of Financial Services, and Budget related to construction and facilities activities. Complete monthly confirmation of revenue and expense totals between the ASC and University financial accounting systems and the Facilities asset tracking system. Provide ongoing supervision and training to staff members, ensuring all staff are aware of any new policies or changes which may affect them or the work they do.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and three to five years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
- Experience in construction accounting and project management
- Expertise in using excel, word, accounting tools/systems, and Microsoft applications
- Excellent written communication skills as demonstrated in application materials
- Experience in organizations comparable to Kansas State University in terms of budget, size complexity and scope of operations
- Strong computer and technical skills including the ability to query and analyze data as shown in application materials
- Three years of supervisory experience and/or experience leading project teams

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$51,500-$75,000 annually
