About This Role:

Facilities is looking for a Landscape Technician I. This position will maintain university property and surrounding areas, cuts grass, trims, rakes leaves, cleans areas, plants flowers and prunes trees or shrubs. Maintains driveways, parking lots and walkways by removing debris, litter, snow and ice. Performs routine maintenance on equipment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the general practices applied in the care and safe operation of a wide variety of light to medium maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of standard safety practices
• Ability to operate a wide variety of lighter and some heavy equipment
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of grounds, tree and shrub care
• Basic leadership skills

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
• Subject to on-call, standby and inclement weather response.  This position is considered essential.
