About This Role:

This position is responsible for assessing for referral to short term individual, couple, and group therapy; conducting initial consultations and crisis sessions; providing referrals and bridging care to the community as needed; consulting with students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health issues; and other tasks as requested by the Executive Director or Lead Clinician. Occasional after hours and weekend work is required. The position reports to the Lead Clinician which is part of Lafene Health Center.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Minimum of one year post-graduate experience in the mental health field.
  • Licensed as a clinical mental health provider in Kansas or licensed and able to practice independently within one year of hire. (i.e. LCMSW)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of work experience as a licensed clinical mental health provider
  • Licensed at the clinical level prior to start date
  • Minimum of one year of work related experience at a college/university counseling center
  • Experience in brief/solution focused therapy techniques.
  • Experience in supporting sexual assault prevention efforts.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 annually
