About This Role:
|
The successful candidate will teach courses in the geotechnical engineering area and other department service courses as needed. Will direct and oversee duties of graduate teaching assistants and laboratory sections in the geotechnical area, maintain and upgrade laboratory curriculum, support recruitment events in the College of Engineering (COE) (senior, scholarship and transfer days), advise civil engineering students, serve on departmental and COE committees, and ASCE student chapter advising.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering or related fields
- Ability to effectively engage students outside class such as during advising sessions or as a faculty advisor to student competition teams or organizations
- Prior experience with classroom instruction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience teaching geotechnical courses at the university level
- Industry experience
- Professional engineering licensure or the ability to attain
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
