About This Role:

Accountant I position available in the College of Education responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to preparing and processing payments, reconciling funds and preparing monthly financial reports for externally funded projects.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in professional accounting/auditing work.
  • Experience in grant administration.
  • Experience working in computer based accounting system.
  • Experience using QuickBooks online.
  • Familiarity with the State of Kansas and Kansas State University policies and procedures regarding grant expenditure and revenue.
  • The ability to work within a high-volume, fast-paced setting is beneficial with strong attention to detail, organization and time-management skills preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$16.04- $20.04 per hour.
