About This Role:

This position will conduct irrigation research and extension activities at the Southwest Research Extension Center in Garden City or Colby as well as the surrounding area. The candidate will maintain and operate precision equipment/machinery and irrigation systems; install, calibrate, and maintain research instrumentation; plan, manage, and document research projects; coordinate and interact with producers and industry representatives; and assist in outreach efforts. The candidate will provide leadership to other team members.

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a master’s degree and two years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with precision agricultural equipment, technologies, and software.
  • Experience in irrigated agriculture, including managing irrigation systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
