About This Role:

The Southeast Research & Extension Office is searching for an Agricultural Technician I to join us in Parsons, KS. The SE Research & Extension Center provides areas for research and extension activities. This position is an integral part of the farm team and as such is responsible for carrying out many of the day to day activities including but not limited to: operating equipment to till, plant, fertilize, apply pesticides and harvest; interacting with faculty, research staff, graduate students and undergraduate students to facilitate their research activities; and maintaining farm facilities and equipment. What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• None

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in crop production, record keeping, soil and plant sampling
• Knowledge of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides for crop production
• Knowledge of farm machinery maintenance and repair
• Associate’s degree

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
• Must obtain commercial driver’s license and pesticide applicator’s license (1A & Category 10) within 6 months of hire.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$15.00 - $22.26 per hour
