About This Role

This temporary position will provide additional assistance for general care and maintenance of crops and cattle at the Southeast Research and Extension Center, as well as care and maintenance of the Center grounds. Work will be done at both the Mound Valley, KS and Parsons, KS sites, with Mound Valley being the primary work location.

K-State Research and Extension is a short name for the Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service. We are a partnership between Kansas State University and federal, state, and county government, with offices in every Kansas county. We conduct research throughout Kansas that is shared by Extension agents and others on our Web sites and through numerous conferences, workshops, field days, publications, newsletters and more.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • No minimum requirements
  • Valid driver's license required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Experience with crops production
  • Experience with care and management of cattle
  • Experience with driving a tractor
  • Ability to read and comprehend English
  • Access to reliable transportation

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
