About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

  • Digital & Email Marketing: Execute email and push notification campaigns for volleyball, women’s basketball, and baseball, including segmentation, content creation, and performance tracking.
  • Paid & Traditional Advertising: Support paid digital ads and traditional marketing (TV, radio, print) by coordinating with internal teams and external partners on assets, targeting, placement, and campaign launches.
  •  Organic Social Media: Develop and manage organic social content for assigned sports to support revenue and engagement goals in collaboration with creative/social teams.
  • Creative Asset Design: Create select digital assets when needed using Adobe Photoshop for emails, social media, ads, and traditional marketing materials while maintaining brand consistency.
  •  Collaboration & Reporting: Work with ticketing, sales, communications, and game presentation teams; assist with campaign reporting and recommendations.
  •  Other Duties as Assigned: Provide support for additional department-wide projects and priorities.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, communications, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing, athletics, or a related field (can include internships or graduate assistantships).
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in intercollegiate athletics digital marketing.
  • Experience with Oracle Eloqua.
  • Experience in Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$35,600 to $45,000
