About This Role

The Department of Management in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kansas State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, full-time Assistant Professor position in the Human Resource Management area.

The candidate will be responsible for research, teaching, and service activities in the CBA.

Research: Consistent with departmental guidelines, the candidate will be expected to publish in high-quality academic journals in the human resource management area and develop a strong research track-record.

Teaching: Desired area of teaching experience or interest must include human resource management and organizational behavior. The CBA has a strong emphasis on data analytics as part of its innovative curriculum.

Service: The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to collegiality and shared governance. What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or a closely related area from an AACSB accredited university. ABDs will also be considered but must be in a position to complete their Ph.D. within 6 months of their employment date at Kansas State University.
  • Ability to publish in high-quality journals in the human resource management area and develop a strong research track-record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and presentations at national academic conferences.
  • Prior university teaching experience in human resource management or a closely related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Related professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach one or more of the advanced courses in Human Resource Management.
  • Commitment to understanding one's experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and effective collaboration.
