About This Role:

The K-State Social Work Program invites applicants to apply for a 9-month tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor for the 2025-2026 academic year. Responsibilities for this position include teaching a course load of five classes per academic year (2-3 per semester), scholarly research, and departmental and university service. The program will target candidates with direct social work practice experience, teaching interest in areas of Direct Social Work Practice, and a strong record of scholarly research.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in social work or a related field
  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program
  • At least two years of social work practice experience post-MSW

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A record of in-person teaching effectiveness
  • Strong research agenda and proven scholarly record
  • Experience in teaching diverse student populations

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

Salary commensurate with experience in the range of $70,000 - $75,000.
