The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a full time, 12-month, tenure-track position in Veterinary Parasitology at the Assistant Professor level.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

1) provide innovative leadership for the department's veterinary clinical parasitology diagnostic service, including interpretation of diagnostic results and clinical consultations with veterinarians and producers

2) establish a collaborative veterinary parasitology research program that both furthers the innovative diagnostic testing capabilities of the KSVDL and contributes to the research mission of the department and college and

3) teach in the veterinary professional curriculum, support graduate student training and participate in post-graduate training of veterinarians. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in parasitology or related field.  Desired qualifications also include experience in providing support for clinical diagnostic services, record of achievement in didactic classroom or small group instruction, record of quality research training and the potential for establishment of an extramurally funded research program, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, and Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists (or equivalent board certification).

Salary Range / Pay Rate:

Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.
