About This Role

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina seeks a dedicated Building and Construction Supervisor to oversee campus construction projects. The position's duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as primary liaison between contractors and K-State Salina
  • Attending all pre-construction, construction, and post-construction meetings
  • Inspecting job sites daily and being present for all testing, inspections, crane operations, etc.
  • Keeping project manager informed of any potential quality issues or delays
  • Reviewing building specification and design standards to ensure they accurately reflect the college's standards/intent
  • Tracking and ensuring all submittals are completed on a timely basis
  • Assisting financial manager with maintaining financial accounting for projects
  • Primary backup for fixed asset inventory management

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field, OR 3+ years of experience in construction highly preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License required upon employment

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
