About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a motivated, personable, and service-oriented Concierge to join our Client Services team. The Concierge will be the first point of contact for clients and patients, creating a positive and seamless experience throughout their visit. They will serve as a resource by directing clients to the appropriate departments, addressing client inquiries, and offering helpful information all while providing top-tier customer service. Working hours for this position will be Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Worksite Option

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience in customer service and veterinary knowledge.
  • Great customer service skills, including the ability to communicate professionally under stress.
  • Experience with veterinary hospital management program software, such as Instinct, will be an asset for this position.
  • Comfortable around all types of animals.
  • Ability to perform basic administrative/secretarial/reception duties.
  • Responsive to a wide variety of clients’ needs to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience.
  • Ability to apply skills of a service-oriented nature position to the public, faculty and students in order to promote harmonious working relationships and excellent veterinary medical care for patients.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
