About This Role:
The Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University seeks to fill a 12-month postdoctoral, non-tenure track appointment in Agricultural Economics. The Department has a reputation for excellence in all three functions of the University’s land grant mission (teaching, research, and extension). The candidate will investigate research problems and conduct high-end impactful research in the areas of community resilience, community development, social equity and/or applied behavioral analysis in the context of climate change, natural disasters and hazards, and extreme weather in Kansas. The candidate will engage in helping to develop and administer surveys, serious games and behavioral experiments; assist with community engagement and extension activities; and mentor undergraduate and graduate research assistants. The candidate will assist faculty and students involved in a large NSF funded project (Adaptive and Resilient Infrastructures driven by Social Equity (ARISE). The candidate will be under the supervision of Dr. Jason Bergtold.
