The Fiscal Analyst plays a key role in the preparation, analysis, and submission of the University’s major financial reports and statements. This position ensures compliance with state, federal, and university reporting standards, including the Annual Financial Report (AFR), Facilities & Administrative (F&A) Cost Rate proposal, and other external submissions. The Fiscal Analyst provides technical accounting expertise, analyzes financial data to support decision-making, and collaborates with departments and system administrators to maintain data integrity within the University’s financial systems. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex reporting processes under strict deadlines.
This position is Hybrid eligible; however, we require the first 90 days to be 100% on-site. After that period, hybrid eligibility will be evaluated based on individual performance.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
•  Degree in accounting, business, or related field, and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)designation. 
•  Experience with cost accounting, federal cost principles, and higher education financial reporting. 
•  Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. 
•  Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively. 
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•  Demonstrated success in collaborative problem-solving and process improvement.
