This employee will have to be able to independently take the initiative to research the proper ways to handle a wide variety of (and sometimes rare) situations. • Lead all accounting activities and prepare all financial analysis and reports for all activities.
  • Responsible for federally funded project budgeting and expenditure projection reporting.
  • Create subaward contract budgets and budget justifications for award submission.
  • Facilitate payments to entities receiving sub-awards, host country partners, and foreign vendors. Will need to take into consideration tax issues, IRS forms, and wiring funds all within a quick timeframe.
  • Interface with US based and host country financial officers to ensure fiscal operations are conducted in compliance with K-State policy and national best practices.
  • Monitor all sub-recipient award budgets to ensure that budgets are either followed or adjusted as project goals fluctuate and change via the internal and external reporting system.
  • Complete all Central Export Control Registration reporting requirements.
  • Monitor all CRCIL related faculty and staff salary distributions to ensure they are compliant with grant salary allowances.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Award and Post-Award Services and Innovation Lab team members to ensure that all rules, regulations, laws and policies concerning the fiscal maintenance of grants and contracts are followed and documented.
  • Maintain financial statements of Management Entity (ME) personnel including credit card statement and payments.
