About This Role:

Primary assignments for this position are focused on supporting initiatives associated with K-State 105 and the Kansas Water Institute programs. This position is responsible for all aspects of preaward research administration with a focus on proposal review, including budgetary guidance to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations and university policies. Additionally, this position assists with program team(s) to ensure a streamlined experience when collaborating with both internal and external partners. This collaboration primarily includes the development of service agreements, negotiation and facilitation through execution, as well as providing oversight regarding project management needs including documentation regarding project deliverables, financial reporting from partners, and other post award needs that the team(s) may have. It will ensure an additional level of central oversight regarding partner payments and potential issues that may arise regarding partner compliance with service agreement deliverables. This position will provide direct support to the K-State 105 and Kansas Water Institute project teams as it related to the Cayuse eRA system and additional technologies provided by OSP.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One year of relevant experience

This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in Grants and Contract Administration
  • Advanced degree, such as a M.B.A. with emphasis on accounting or finance
  • Certified Research Administrator certification
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills-experience
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of guidelines, statutes and regulations

Other Requirements:

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$47,486 - $55,000 annually
