About This Role:

K-State Salina seeks a Housing Manager to direct, oversee, and administer the operations of the residential community on the Salina campus. The Housing Manager will act as the primary contact for after-hours crisis response and emergencies for the Salina campus. This includes being able to respond, in-person, to any situations which may arise and offering immediate support and resources to the students and staff involved. The incumbent in this position will also assist with the eRez Life management system, administering programs related to summer school/special groups, and overseeing residential facilities and programming.

This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible position. On- or off-campus housing option is negotiable for final candidate.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in student personnel or related area preferred.
  • Experience working with on-campus housing
  • Experience with community living, leadership development, programming, and teaching or training
  • Skills in selecting, supervising, and training student staff
  • Advising student groups
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to interact with a diverse staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with student housing operations
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work with interruptions

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$20.30 - $26.44 per hour, depending on qualifications
