About This Role:

The Administrative Support Center (ASC) Human Resources team is seeking applicants for a Human Resources Representative to provide department-level coordination in human resource activities and functions. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing human resource activities for units supported by the Administrative Service Center – Human Resources team to ensure compliance with applicable university, state and federal laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Understanding, interpreting, and communicating policies, procedures, and information to supported unit leadership and employees.
  • Supporting the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding.
  • Accurately completing forms and paperwork, managing position funding, and overseeing staff performance management processes.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete employee files.
  • Assisting with special projects in support of departments and university as requested.
  • Providing leadership in creating a culture of excellence and customer service in the ASC-HR.

Worksite Options:

This position is eligible for hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on employer premises or designated assignment location. This role is expected to work on-site approximately three (3) days a week.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in human resources.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in human resources and/or payroll.
  • Experience in data entry, payroll, recruitment, human resources, and customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to determine priorities, exercise sound judgment and work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new software, to develop additional skills, and to engage in professional development.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and uphold confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated background or knowledge of human resource processes and policies.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
