The Hybrid Cloud Engineer I is pivotal in designing, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud solutions to enhance the scalability and performance of the university's IT infrastructure. This position supports the Hybrid Cloud Organization in implementing robust cloud architectures across public and private components, optimizing cloud environments through automation and real-time monitoring. Additionally, the role involves collaborating closely with IT security teams and other IT departments to integrate security measures, manage resources efficiently, and ensure high levels of end-user satisfaction by maintaining a responsive and effective cloud infrastructure.

• Cloud Computing Expertise:
AWS: Proficient with EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, and EKS.
Azure: Experience with Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, and Azure Entra for identity management.
Private Cloud: Skilled in VMware vSphere, Guardicore, NSX AVI, with automation and monitoring tools like Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, and CheckMK.
• On-Prem Microsoft Server & Active Directory Support:
Windows Servers: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including patch management, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
Active Directory: Administer and troubleshoot AD, including user/group management, GPOs, and integrating with Azure AD.
PowerShell: Use PowerShell for automation, managing user accounts, server configurations, and troubleshooting across Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Microsoft 365 Tier 3 Support:
Troubleshooting: Advanced issue resolution for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD.
Email Management: Advanced management of mailbox migration, email flow, spam filtering, and EOP.
Security & Compliance: Manage Microsoft Defender, ATP, DLP policies, IRM, and advanced compliance features
Automation: PowerShell scripting for automation, user management, and issue resolution. Collaboration Tools: Expert support for Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and app integrations.
Data Recovery: Advanced data recovery for Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Tenant Management: Administer tenant configuration, licensing, service plans, and billing.
Migration Support: Tier 3 support for migrating on-prem systems to Microsoft 365.
App Integration: Troubleshoot third-party app integrations with Microsoft 365.
Performance & Incident Response: Optimize performance and lead incident response for outages or security incidents.
• Collaboration and Vendor Management: Effective team collaboration and vendor relationship management with an understanding of cloud service agreements.
• Communication: Strong communication skills for conveying complex cloud strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
