The Kansas State University Department of Modern Languages seeks a dynamic individual for a part-time, non-tenure-track position as Instructor of Italian. The successful candidate will teach one (1) two-credit course titled ITAL 105: Italian for Travelers in Fall 2026. The course supports students who plan to participate in Kansas State University’s study abroad programs in Orvieto, Italy, as well as other participants who plan to travel in Italy. We seek candidates with experience or promise in teaching Italian at a beginning level and experience living or traveling in Italy. There is a possibility of renewal and potential opportunities for Summer teaching. ITAL 105 meets once per week in the evenings. In-person teaching on the Manhattan campus is required.
The Department of Modern Languages is a vibrant and dynamic place where we foster multilingual and multicultural awareness and a sense of belonging and identity that prepares students to become global citizens. We offer courses and programs in Arabic, Chinese, Classical Studies, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Spanish Translation, and the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
