About This Role

The Catalyst at K-state College of Education is seeking an application for a Media Production Specialist. This position will work with the College of Education video producer to help capture and edit footage for marketing videos, documentaries, display boards, and live events with a high emphasis on editing. Necessary training in software and specific camera operation will be provided, but a strong interest and background in video production is desired.  

About Us

The Catalyst provides pedagogy, learning services and a copy center for students, faculty, and staff in the College of Education. This position will provide an opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced environment where you can develop your skills in videography, editing and video producing.

Worksite Option

This position is on-site.  This role is expected to be performed on-site five days a week with occasional traveling involved.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in video editing with Final Cut Pro or equivalent editing software.
  • Experience recording audio and video in the field.
  • Experience conducting interviews on camera
  • Experience with lighting sets or interviews.

Other Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

  • Moving /lifting equipment more than 20 lbs.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$18.04 - $20.68 hourly
