About This Role

This position provides support services to our Medical Clinic by:

  • Answering incoming phone calls utilizing good telephone communication skills and knowledge of Health Center policies and procedures. Registering patients confirming eligibility and including collecting correct billing information and insurance.  Scheduling appointments to include follow-ups.
  • Coordinating all referrals for Medical Clinic including acquiring pre-authorizations with insurance and making those appointments with outside entities.
  • Release of medical record information as needed following all legal guidelines including FERPA and HIPAA.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of relevant experience. Have coding skills, understand FERPA/HIPAA laws, and basic medical insurance understanding.

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
