About This Role

This position will serve as general office support, student support and event planning in the Department of Mathematics and will also assist the Director of Mathematics Undergraduate Studies.

Specific job responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the math grader program; assist with hiring and training graders, assist with ensuring the accuracy of grader bi-weekly timesheets, assign graders to sections and communicate assignments, complete undergraduate work study forms.
  • Graduate Student Support; communicate system policy to GTA’s, collect forms, assist with various assignments and requests.
  • Event coordination; Math banquet, Open House, outreach events, general catering
  • Scheduling assistance; exam rooms, help sessions, meeting rooms, etc.
  • Miscellaneous duties; train and supervise front office workers, other duties as assigned. 

About Us

K-State's math department offers a PhD, Masters, concurrent BS/MS degree and a graduate certificate in Applied Mathematics, Bachelors, and dual degrees in engineering, business, and agriculture, and double majors in the sciences, humanities and arts. 

We also have a minor program that is just a few additional courses for most STEM fields.
