This position is responsible for providing short term individual, couple, and group therapy; conducting initial assessments, intakes, and crisis sessions, providing referrals and bridging care to the community as needed; providing supervision and training for doctoral interns; consulting with students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health issues; participating in outreach activities to the campus community and other tasks as requested by our Associate Director. Occasional after hours and weekend work is required.
Lafene Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), in support of the overall mission of the University, provides high-quality professional services to help all students meet their full potential – personally, academically, and socially. Within an accepting, sustaining, and compassionate setting, CAPS provides a professional resource to attend to our students' psychological needs by promoting well-being, alleviating concerns, facilitating problem resolution, and enhancing their success.
This position is required to be completed on-site.
