About This Role

This position is responsible for providing short term individual, couple, and group therapy; conducting initial assessments, intakes, and crisis sessions, providing referrals and bridging care to the community as needed; providing supervision and training for doctoral interns; consulting with students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health issues; participating in outreach activities to the campus community and other tasks as requested by our Associate Director. Occasional after hours and weekend work is required.

Worksite Option

This position is required to be completed on-site. 

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or equivalent mental health field from an APA-accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of work-related experience at a college or university counseling center.
  • Experience and/or interest in supporting care across a range of needs, such as health psychology, eating disorder treatment, group therapy, and related areas.
  • Two years post-licensure experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Qualified for psychology licensure by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Board; licensure to be obtained within a negotiated timeframe.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
