The Student Support Coordinator provides coordination of processes and services for Student Support & Accountability. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Assistant Vice President/Senior Associate Dean of Students, Assistant Deans and Assistant Directors in Student Support & Accountability as well as the departments who serve directly under the office. The Student Support Coordinator will also act as a first line of contact with the students and families our office serves. The Student Support Coordinator is essential to the office because of the individual’s involvement with multiple clients, including students, parents, faculty and staff, and the public.
Student Support & Accountability works to support students experiencing difficulties which impact their life, both academically and personally.
Student Support & Accountability strives to foster an environment of collaboration, responsibility, and mutual respect in partnership with students and all of our university colleagues.
We do this by:
• Providing direct support and services to students
• Advocating for students in a variety of settings
• Connecting students with accurate referrals for academic and personal problems
• Encouraging appreciation of diverse experiences and perspectives
• Coordinating the university response to campus and student crises
• Addressing conduct and behavioral concerns through educational interventions and policy application
• Supporting and serving as a resource for student family members
This position is On-site. On-site 5 days per week
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
