About This Role

The Herbel Family School of Accountancy in the College of Business at Kansas State University is seeking to hire a full-time Teaching Professor to teach in accounting. The individual selected will teach three undergraduate or graduate courses per semester while also assisting with the service mission of the Department of Accounting and the College of Business. Teaching Professors are also expected to engage in applied research to maintain AACSB status. Potential courses may vary depending on needs. Although we are open to all teaching specialties, the ability to teach taxation or accounting information systems would be particularly valuable. What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least a master's degree in accounting or a PhD in accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited business school.
  • A demonstrated commitment to supporting student learning and developmental experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A professional certification, such as CPA or CMA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Accounting or closely related field from an AACSB accredited business school.
  • University-level teaching experience in accounting.
  • Professional work experience in accounting.
  • Commitment to collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work as part of an effective and collaborative team member.
  • Commitment to understanding one's own experiences and perspectives of others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and collaboration.
