About This Role:

This position provides maintenance and modifications to vehicles and other property owned by the university. Ensures proper upkeep is provided to trucks, grounds keeping equipment, automobiles, heavy equipment and other farm related vehicles/equipment.

Worksite Options:

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires six months of relevant experience. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a farming environment including maintaining and repairing farm machinery, irrigation pivot repair and irrigation engine/pump maintenance.
  • Vocational training in diesel mechanics, automotive mechanics, gasoline engine repair, welding, and electrical diagnosis/repair.
  • Mobility to maneuver on and under equipment and considerable physical exertion to transport in excess of 50 lbs (no more than 100 lbs) unassisted on a regular basis.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Valid driver's license to permit incumbent to operate automobiles, pickup trucks, and farm trucks (up to 24,000 GVW) having standard or automatic transmissions once employed.
